Why Buy on SmartShare.com ?

 
 Q  What is the process for purchasing a week through SmartShare.com, Inc.?
A
The purchase process is as follows: You will down load the preliminary document after filling in your information (a copy is emailed to us) and retain a copy for your records. You will also download a purchase and sale agreement after adding all buyers names to the contract and print out two copies. Sit down and review them both, writing down any questions you may have. Your sales person will go over them with you. Once they have, you’ll sign both copies and send them to us with a check for funds to close as stated on the Exhibit A of the agreement OR if you are financing, with the signed financing paperwork (you will be sent in an e-mail) instead of a check.

You will be notified by e-mail when the contract is received and will be sent out a signed original copy of the agreement in the mail. Closing commences (in most cases) 10 days after the contract is received. If you are purchasing a deeded property, you can expect the recorder to process the deed an average of 2-3 weeks. (some case are longer) but the closing agents we use know how to get the recordings (or certified copies sent out) from recording in extraordinary circumstances. Average Deeded week purchases are done within 45-60 days, start to finish, including the transfer with the resort.

If you are purchasing a right to use or a club membership then it can sometimes be less time but is rarely ever more than the deeded processing and closing (averaging more towards the 45 day mark than the 60.

The management company, in some cases, takes the longest to change their records, especially in Mexico and the Bahamas (Caribbean in general).

 

 Q  How can I judge the quality of what I am purchasing without going to take a look at it?

There are several websites online that can provide excellent information and research opportunities. The primary sources are on our Exchanges/Ratings page. Please take the time to do thorough research on your choices. You can also ask us if we have any first hand knowledge about a specific resort.

FYI- 98% of all of our buyers do buy site-unseen. 38% buy from a recommendation of someone they know, or have conferred with someone that owns or has exchanged into the resort recently (usually via the internet or some other timeshare network club).

 

 Q  How much money am I really saving when I purchase from you versus the developer at the resort?
A
You are saving a minimum of 50% (depending on how new the product is) all the way up to an 80% savings!

Can I Save Money on Accommodations?

The cost saving advantages timeshare owners experience is significant. Timeshare owner's vacation year after year and are not dependent on hotel pricing fluctuations because their vacation is already paid for. Even though there are maintenance fee's involved, timeshare owners benefit by vacationing in often larger more luxurious accommodations with more amenities for considerably less than at comparable hotels and resorts.

You will enjoy the status and royal treatment accorded to timeshare condo owners, and the condos are everything you want: spacious, beautifully decorated, convenient, large (up to 4 bedrooms), with kitchens and private bedrooms. Most resorts have activities and tours, many of which are free.
